Todd Bergen & Ron Ralls

Ron Ralls | NRCHA 2009 Open Hackamore Reserve Champion

Two-time World’s Greatest Horseman, Ron Ralls (pictured here with Chuy), had a spectacular fence work on Solano Cat by High Brow Cat at the 2009 NRCHA Horse Show, Hackamore class, scoring a 218.5. That, in combination with his 215 reined work had him leading the class until Tod Bergen (also pictured here with Chuy) and Nics Black Diamond unseated them with a 217.5 reined work and 217 fence work to take the Open Hackamore Championship (combined score of 434.5).

Congratulations!

The Gorrell’s and friends

4 October 2008
Sonia & Jake Gorrel, Gay and Jody Tyndall

I met up with the Gorrell’s today as well as their two life-long friends, Gay and Jody Tyndall. What a fun group they were!

Jake is a reined cow horse trainer who has already made his mark on the industry, and Sonia is an accomplished barrel horse trainer.  They need help keeping their web site updated as great things are happening with this young couple.

NRCHA Futurity Banquet

4 October 2008

The NRCHA futurity banquet was attended by over 1000 reined cow horse enthusiasts. I was priviledged to be invited to sit at the Gragg’s Family table. The late (and beloved) Ralph and Mickey Gragg were credited with salvaging the NRCHA in the 1980’s and were owers of NRCHA million-dollar sire, Nu Cash. They, paired with their partner and trainer, Ted Robinson, were the ambassadors of the NRCHA and the reined cow horse industry. Pictured here are the wonderful people who attended the banquet at the Gragg family table.

Trade Show – The ‘IT’ Girls

3 October 2008
Brit Roberts, Kathleen Brannon, and Karen Ross (aka Prairie Karen)

At the 2008 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Trade Show, there’s a row of women artists who can’t be missed. They’re not only phenomenal artists, but they breathe life into their little corner of the Trade Show.

They are: Brit Roberts of Indigo Cowgirl (www.indigocowgirl.com), Kathleen Brannon of Desert Sage Bead Art

(www.desertsagebeadart.com), and Karen Ross of Prairie Karen (www.prairiekaren.com). Brit sells custom-adorned, custom-shaped, palm-leaf hat and accessories hand-made of aged harness leather. Kathleen sells her beaded bracelets–you must see to believe! Karen sells her carefully hand-picked, hand-made western jewelry from artists from all over the country. She says “Every artist has a story.”

Each of these girls has a nice web site but need help better accessing their respective target audiences.

That’s where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes in, and that’s what we’ll be working on.
